- Research awards to UConn faculty exceeded $190 million last year, an increase of more than $80 million since 1999.
- In 2005, the UConn Health Center was named a “Top 100 Hospitals®: Performance Improvement Leader.” The award was based on statistical analysis of validated measures and a comparison of rates of improvement over five years. The data included more than 800 elements for more than 6,000 U. S. acute care and specialty hospitals.
- Since 1995, UConn’s athletic teams have won eight NCAA Division I national championships, 32 Big East tournaments and 40 Big East regular season titles.
- Ninety-five percent of Law School graduates are employed within nine months after graduation.

- The UConn Health Center received exceptionally high scores in the 2005 Hospital Performance Comparisons Report released by the state Department of Public Health. The hospital’s scores exceeded both state and national medians in all but one category.
- The landmark UCONN 2000 construction program has created more than 8.1 million square feet of new and renovated space for research, teaching, living and learning. Completed projects include brand new and award-winning buildings for the School of Business, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Engineering and the departments of chemistry, biology-physics and agriculture-biotechnology.
- UCONN 2000 has touched every University campus and has resulted in new downtown campuses in Stamford and Waterbury, a sophisticated marine science facility at our campus in Avery Point and new buildings on our Greater Hartford and Torrington campuses.
- In 2007, UConn received $59.8 million dollars in total gifts, up from $8 million in 1995.
- According to U.S. News and World Report, UConn alumni rank seventh in the nation among public universities for alumni giving with an annual giving rate of 24 percent.
